Rommel Garde, 40, of Arevalo, Iloilo City, is an artist who describes his art as his other person who is on a never-ending quest and discovery, and on a continuous wandering and experiment. He likens his art to a wing that makes him fly and sets him free and forces him on becoming a thinking human being.
Garde twice became a regional winner in the Phillip Morris Philippine Art Awards, a finalist in GSIS Competition in 2013, and in Metrobank Arts and Design Excellence Awards in 2011.
He discovered his gift when he was a little boy and realized his dream when he attended an art workshop and exhibited his works.
Through his art, he shares his ideas and knowledge as he shows the wonder and beauty of life.
Other than being a communication technician, he is also a 2D animation and basic electronics graduate. His education has given him self-respect.
Having a family of his own, he realized the essence of life.
“Always live not with our own will but in the will of God.”
