Rotary Clubs turnover computers, textbooks turnover to Iloilo City school

STUDENTS and teachers of Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School (MLQES) in Iloilo City recently received computers and reference books from two Rotary Clubs on Feb. 8, 2019.

The Rotary Club of MakatiPaseo de Roxas led by President Jun Samson and Rotary Club of Metro Iloilo headed by President Ceazar Anthony Ang, jointly donated computers and reference books to students of MLQES to further enhance their knowledge in using computers and textbooks.

The donation is a partnership project of the two Rotary Clubs.

During the opening program, Samson said they chose Iloilo because they wanted to help and support the
needs of the students and teachers in a small school.

“We are here to help students even in a simple way. Education is the key to success and we want them to study hard. These donations will help them learn more and apply those learning for their betterment,” he added.

Ang said the project will support the chosen school in their endeavor.

“Given that they belong to a small school, we want them to experience the beauty of learning through these computers and books. We want to help them achieve their purpose in life.”

During the short program, students from Manuel L. Quezon also entertained the guests through their dance performances. Rotarians also interacted with the students and told them the purpose of the club and projects.
