P1M lost to Isabela blaze

BACOLOD City – At least P1-million worth of properties was razed by fire at Brgy 7, Isabela, Negros Occidental late evening of Nov 7, 2018.

Isabela Mayor Joselito Malabor said the fire started in one of the houses in the said village and spread to two more houses.

He said he is thankful to Mayors Rhumyla Nicor Mangillimutan of La Castellana and Nadie Arceo of Hinigaran for sending their fire trucks to help put out the fire.

He said he asked for help after the Isabela fire truck is not enough to put out the fire.

Malabor said started at about 11:45 p.m. lasted for almost two hours.

He added that initial investigation revealed that the fire started from a gas stove of the house owned the Galang family.

No casualties were reported, Malabor said.

He appealed to residents to check on their appliances before going to sleep at night.
