BACOLOD City – An estimated P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu were seized in a buy-bust operation by anti-drug operatives from Police Station 8 (PS8) at Purok Hollow Blocks, Barangay Singcang-Airport here late Saturday night.
Police identified the suspect as 50-year-old Joemarie Tapalia, a resident of Purok San Roque, Barangay Handumanan here.
Chief Inspector Ruel Culanag, PS8 commander, said Tapalia is one of the station’s suspected drug personalities.
Culanag also said that they did not expect to recover a large volume of shabu since Tapalia was classified as a “street-level drug target.”
Tapalia has also been under close surveillance for at least one week before the operation was conducted.
Police recovered a total of 15 sachets of suspected shabu, two P500 bills, and two P1,000 bills.
