LAND Transportation Office (PRO)-6 Regional Director Roland C. Ramos recently met with Senior Supt. Rodolfo Castil Jr., Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO) provincial director, to inform the latter of their activities in the province.
In their meeting at the NOPPO headquarters, Ramos said they will extend full coordination with the PNP and even deputize qualified PNP personnel in the respective cities and municipalities to help in LTO operations.
Castil welcomed Ramos’ plans.
“That is a good move and their project will surely be supported by the PNP Negros Occidental,” Castil said.
“We will give 100% cooperation from the PNP and we welcome the deputation of our PNP personnel in every town and city to help in the enforcement of the laws.”
During the meeting, Castil also emphasized the problem that crimes were using unregistered motor vehicles.
“When I was chief of police before, the criminals used unregistered motorcycles and if we can reduce the existence of these unregistered vehicles, we will be able to dislocate them in committing crimes. It is better to be strict in checking the registration of these vehicles,” Castil said.
The LTO has seen the concern on the volume of unregistered motorcycles running along the highways and the use of these illegal vehicles is also a serious matter.
“To all the erring motorists, let us cooperate as the LTO Region 6 is here in partnership with the PNP and expect that the laws will be enforced,” Castil said.
