THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 has reshuffled at least four key units in the region.

Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, Western Visayas police director, confirmed the relief of Senior Superintendents Henry Biñas, Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) director; and Samuel Nacion of the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO).

Senior Supt. Canilo Fuentes, chief of the Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division (RPHRDD); and Senior Supt. Martin Defensor of the Regional Headquarters Support Group (RHSG) were also relieved.

Biñas will take over the RPHRDD helm while Fuentes will be designated as CPPO director.

Nacion will take over Defensor’s post while the latter will head the Iloilo City police.

Bulalacao said he took out Biñas, who is a lawyer, from the ICPO because he needs his law expertise.

“The move will also give Senior Supt. Defensor a chance to lead a command,” he added.

Defensor is a member of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class 1995 while Biñas belongs to PNPA 1994.

On the other hand, Bulalacao explained that Nacion is already overstaying as CPPO chief after exceeding his two-year tour of duty.

“He will be temporary assigned at RHSG while he’s waiting for a chief directorial staff post in other regions,” Bulalacao said.

The revamp is effective Sept 15.
