Jobseeker lands in jail for theft case

ROXAS CITY, Capiz–Instead of seeking a job, a 34-year-old woman landed in a prison cell after she was caught for a theft case filed six years ago.

The police of President Roxas, Capiz arrested on Tuesday morning Jonah Madrid of Brgy. Ibaca in the said town.

According to the police, Madrid went to President Roxas police station to get a police clearance for her job application. But when the police officer opened its records, it was found out that she had a pending warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Antonio Mationg of Branch 26 in Iloilo City dated May 31, 2013.

The suspect was immediately detained at the police station. Bail for her temporary liberty is P20,000.
