THE Department of Education (DepEd)-Guimaras Division rolled out its improved Result-Based Performance Management System (RPMS) manual for teachers and school heads at the Madison Hotel, Iloilo City on Aug 29, 2018.
Ma. Luz de los Reyes, DepEd Guimaras Division superintendent, explained that the RPMS is aligned with the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST).
Subong naga-roll-out kita para maintindihan sang maestra kag ma-implement ensakto,” she said.
Before, each division had a different standard but now, the new manual is organized and implemented nationwide, de los Reyes said.
She added that standards set by the PPST were more focused on the classroom, curriculum, creativity, community, and use of technology.
DepEd assured that the tools are friendly and easy to follow to ensure improved classroom management and learners.
“Kung ang teacher confident sa ila ginahimo, inspired siya kay makita niya ang actual performance, tingwaan niya gid na mag-nami iya performance sa classroom and it will all lay down to the child,” De los Reyes noted.
The rating system will be utilized starting this school year 2018-2019.
