Hubby of retired school head rescued from fire

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The husband of a retired school division superintendent was rescued morning of Dec 17, 2018 from a fire that razed their house at Alvarez Subdivision in Brgy. 10 here.

Concerned neighbors rescued Sulpicio Inocencio, 87, from sure death when a fire erupted in the second floor of their house.

According to Regie Casugbo, he immediately went up the Inocencios’ house learning of the fire. He said he came from his work when someone told him about the blaze.

Sulpicio is the husband of Artily Inocencio, a retired division schools superintendent of Roxas City, who was also in the house during the conflagration.

Arson investigators have yet to assess the extent of damages and the cause of the fire that allegedly came from the ceiling of the second floor.

The firewall prevented the blaze from spreading to neighboring houses.
