A TOKHANG surrenderee was arrested by police in a buy-bust operation in Rumbang village, Pototan, Iloilo, afternoon of August 27, 2018.
Nogel Golingay, 27, of Barangay Bagacay, Pototan, Iloilo was netted after handing over a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop.
Chief Inspector Ronnie Brillo, Pototan police chief, said Golingay continued with his drug dealing activities even after he surrendered to Oplan Tokhang in 2016.
“Gin-warningan naton sa balay nila kay may report ang police nga sige baligya. Pati si nanay niya gin-hambalan man sang police nga sawayon bata niya”, Brillo said.
Golingay allegedly peddles shabu to other drug surrenderrees in Bagacay village. He is also accused of stirring trouble in their neighborhood.
The Pototan municipal police station’s Drug Enforcement Team and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit Team 2 seized from Golingay six more sachets of suspected shabu and the Php500 marked money.
But Golingay denied selling drugs and even refused to squeal on his source of shabu.
“Daw nahadlukan siya magsugid. Ang mga previous namon nga nadakop man, wala ga-sugid. May possibility nga dalagko nga drug personality na-kuhaan nila kay nahadlukan sila. Kay kung gamay-gamay lang na, masugid na sila”, Brillo said.
Golingay was charged for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
He is now detained at the Pototan police station.
