ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Twenty-three incumbent village chiefs here were reelected after the May 14, 2018, Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan(SK) polls.
It was a walk in the park for five punong barangay as no one opposed their reelection – Luzviminda dela Cruz of Brgy. 2, Olivia Escolin of Punta Cogon, Jericho Celino of San Jose, Virgilio Santos of Talon, and Linda Ignacio of Tanza.
Roxas City has 47 barangays.
Other reelected village chiefs are Martin Antonio Pimentel of Brgy. 1, Ruben Fuentes of Brgy. 3, Elvie Medialdea of Brgy. 4, Rolando Luda of Brgy. 7, Eusofronio Azarcon of Brgy. 9, Rufino Dunton of Brgy. 11, Roberto “Maaw” Roldan of Adlawan, Victor Dolor of Banica, Reynaldo Magallanes of Baybay;
Moreno Gonzaga of Cagay, Emily Ariza of Dayao, Mario Artillero of Dumolog, John Paul Arcenas of Gabuan, Lilian Cordenillo of Loctugan, Midelo Ocampo of Milibili, Ricky Donato of Mongpong, Nestor Buenviaje of Punta Tabuc, and Alfredo Albaladejo of Tiza;

Almalbis is a former Roxas City councilor while Celino is the eldest son of incumbent Mayor Angel Alan Celino.
Jocelyn Asis substituted for her husband, the late Lawaan village chief Elvis Asis, who was gunned down days after he filed his certificate of candidacy in April.
