EFE Joins AlianzaSTEAM for Female Talent, “Girls Stand In Science”
Madrid, February 8 (EFE). – More than 40 entities, including EFE, have joined the #AlianzaSTEAM for Women’s Talent: Girls on the Feet of Science, an initiative led by the Ministry of Education that will be launched on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11th.
This initiative aims to advance the careers of STEAM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics in relation to the arts and humanities) of girls and young women.
To do this, “it is about uniting efforts, seeking synergies and promoting projects that contribute to the formation of an educational and training system that eliminates gender stereotypes associated with certain professions and professions,” according to education, as well as the intention to promote women’s empowerment in STEAM disciplines from the early stages of education to eliminate The gender gap in accessing these disciplines. “
The coalition, to be presented by the Minister of Education, Isabel Sela, next Thursday, will have an annual action plan in which goals, assessment and resources are defined in order to monitor the actions promoted.
It is also expected to create a quality seal for educational and training centers, as well as to advocate for STEAM projects and to develop a career orientation program focusing on these professions, with a gender perspective.
