THE Office of Civil Defense called on students in Western Visayas to join in the 2nd Resilience Mobile Photography Contest.
The contest is open to all Filipino students age at least 16 years as of Jan. 1, 2017.
The theme is “Resilience refers to Filipinos’ ability to adapt and recover from hazards and emergencies.”
This includes various programs, activities and projects that deal with disaster prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, rehabilitation and recovery.
The contest is open to all Filipino students at least 16 years old as of Jan. 1, 2017, and enrolled in any baccalaureate or vocational course during the duration of the contest period, which is January 1 to July 31, 2017.
Submission of entries is until June 30, 2017, 5 p.m.
The criteria for judging are: Adherence to the theme – 25%, Composition – 25%, Photographic Quality – 25%, and Visual Impact – 25%.
Winners will receive plaque and cash prizes of P40,000 (1st), P32,000 (2nd) and P24,000 (3rd).
The Most Popular Photo will receive P24,000 cash prize and plaque. Nine consolation prize winners will receive P10,000 each.
A participant can submit one entry, and must register online at OCD website ocd.gov.ph.
