ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two local government units and two private hospitals in Capiz were hailed as Outstanding Partners of the Philippine Health Insurance System (PhilHealth) in Western Visayas.
PhilHealth’s Outstanding Local Government Unit Partners in Western Visayas are the Capiz Provincial Government and Roxas City Government while St. Anthony College Hospital and Capiz Doctor’s Hospitals were cited as outstanding hospital partners in the region.
Capiz PhilHealth Information Officer Mary Jane Amigo said the Capiz provincial and Roxas City governments were the champions for the provincial and city category, respectively while the St. Anthony College Hospital and Capiz Doctor’s Hospital were the winners for the Level 2 and Level 1 Private Hospital category, respectively, in Region 6.
Amigo said that the awards were conferred during the PhilHealth Area III Summit in Bohol by PhilHealth Interim President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Celestina Ma. Jude Dela Serna, PhilHealth Area Vice President Leo Douglas Cardona and PhilHealth Region 6 Vice President Lourdes Diocson.
Based on PhilHealth records, the Capiz provincial government was able to register 797,566 members or 105 percent coverage rate based on its 762,148 projected population in 2017, while the Roxas City government enrolled 56,501 PhilHealth members or 119 percent coverage rate based on its 147,633 projected population last year.
“St. Anthony Hospital with a 165-bed capacity and the Capiz Doctor’s Hospital with a 65-bed capacity including the Capiz and Roxas City governments were recognized as champion partners due to their exemplary performance in the implementation of the National Health Insurance Program in Western Visayas,” Amigo said.
