CPU Alumni Homecoming: 106 years old
By: Rodolfo P. Gumabong
THE 106 years of Alumni Homecoming of Central Philippine University (CPU) will be celebrated on September 3, 2011 right at the University’s Rose Memorial Hall in the morning and at Hotel Del Rio in the evening honoring outstanding CPU Alumni.
More than 1,000 alumni, guests and faculty members are expected to grace the memorable occasions.
Dr. Teodoro C. Robles CPU president will be the guest speaker during the Alumni homecoming. Dr. Robles left his high-paying job in dollars in the U.S. two years ago to become CPU President. It was a big sacrifice on his part and wife; there is no place like home to be with his kababayans. His prestige helps CPU to unprecedented high enrollment since he took over. Alumni from Iloilo, Antique, Aklan, Capiz, Guimaras and Negros Occidental will troop to their alma mater to be counted during the Alumni uproar. Many alumni in the Visayas, Mindanao and Metro Manila are eager to see their alma mater grow and fellowship with there classmates, teachers, and friends.
