ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Members of the Pag-IBIG Fund living in six calamity-stricken towns here may avail themselves of the calamity loan.
Pag-IBIG Fund-Capiz information officer Rolando Gilo said their members from Panitan, Pontevedra, Sigma, Cuartero, Maayon and Mambusao towns are qualified for the loan.
The loan is available for 90 days from the day the town was placed under the state of calamity.
“The Pag-IBIG Fund members living in said areas can avail of the 80-percent of his or her total contribution or savings,” he said, adding that the outstanding balance of the multi-purpose or calamity loan will be deducted from the calamity loan being applied.
Gilo added that the calamity loan is payable in 24 monthly installments.
“The towns that have been declared under the state of calamity need to submit a copy of their resolution with our office here,” he said.
Aside from Pag-IBIG Fund, the Government Service Insurance System has likewise granted an emergency loan to government employees from the six calamity-hit areas in Capiz. (PIA-Capiz)
