Amazon has a new interface for the Fire TV Stick
Amazon has become a giant for selling products of all kinds, but for some time now it has had its own products, and it’s great. If we take as an example Fire TV StickThe truth is, it’s hard to get hits of any kind. These devices are great, and allow us to turn our TV into a multimedia center. Amazon saw fit Revamped its interface againWe will tell you what the changes are.
This interface revamp comes with a clear intent: Make browsing more enjoyable and convenient for the user. In fact, what stands out the most from the beginning is that the buttons that we find in the center of the screen will be very different from what they were originally.
Buttons without text and with graphics
The old interface actually showed buttons in the middle part of the screen, but it was just texts. This gave a “boring” feeling that completely changed with the new update. Once we apply this to our devices, we will have Some buttons with icons and without text, something more elegant. Yes, a text will appear below it so we know what each one is doing, but that will happen when the respective button is selected.
What was previously the “Library” section has now been renamed “My Stuff”. Although the name of this section has been changed We will keep finding the same things in it So far, any watchlists we have, video libraries or apps we’ve released recently, as well as purchased or rented movies. It’s interesting to know about this section, because Amazon decided to delete it in an update, and now they brought it back again with another name.
The search tab is also more accurate now, so it will be much easier to use. If we get to it, we’ll see The content inside will only be divided into two different rows (before there was 4). In the first of these rows we will see different categories such as free content, movies, series, apps or free content for kids; And in the content below, we will only see content recommended to us based on our tastes. The search button is now a magnifying glass and is located to the left.
More refined interface
Amazon has been showing its intent for some time to make the Fire TV Stick interface better and more refined. Vitality arrived Joshua DanowitzFire TV Experience Manager:
Last year, we completed an overhaul of the Fire TV experience, and since then, we’ve continued to make improvements to make Fire TV a more engaging and personalized streaming experience. Recent updates move Find and My Stuff to the top of the homepage so customers can quickly find and access their watchlists, rentals, and purchases.
It’s funny how the company got rid of all those buttons with texts that have characterized the Fire TV interface for so long. This update was already tested last April, and it’s already rolling out though It will take some time to reach all Amazon devices.
