Apple is updating AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro firmware to version 3E751
Apple today launched a A new version of the firmware AirPods Pro And the AirPods 2, From version 3A283 to version 3E751. This is the first time that AirPods have received an update since September 2020. Unfortunately, the first generation AirPods have been left out (although that doesn’t mean you can’t continue to use them, of course).
Let’s not get excited: This new firmware doesn’t have any news we know of and Apple hasn’t announced it with much fanfare. It likely will be Update smoothens rough edges And it improves the operation and autonomy of the headphones, or perhaps the modification of iOS 14.5 and other new versions of Apple’s operating systems.
An upgrade with literally no effort
What needs to be done to update this firmware? nothing. AirPods automatically install new versions of their firmware as soon as their paired iPhone detects them. It’s the best way to do it, just don’t worry.
To find out which firmware version our AirPods have, just connect them to our iPhone and go to Settings> General> Information And find our AirPods name in this section. There, among other data, we will see what Builds Install headphones.
If you ever need to force the update, you can try by charging the case with the AirPods inside and pairing it with your iPhone or iPad. Not sure if it will work but sometimes this process forces the update. I insist that the best thing is that we don’t have to worry and let the new version prove itself.
