Colombia imports through January 2021-report-dane | Economie

The Dan reported an 11.7% decrease in Colombian imports during the first month of 2021, totaling $ 3822 million, while the same month in 2020 amounted to $ 4,329 million, according to the entity. This decrease was mainly explained by an 11.8% decrease in Manufacturing group.

This sector contributed 74.8% of the total value of imports with a value of 4,329 million dollars, followed by agricultural products, food and beverages, 16.6%, and a value of 636 million dollars, while the fuels and extractive industries group did. $ 321 million or 8.4% of the total.

Regarding the destinations, Colombian imports from the United States contributed 26.7% of the total imports; This was followed by external purchases from China, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Japan and Spain.

Imports from the US in January 2021 saw a decrease of -14.2% compared to January 202. In the first year of 2021, the country bought $ 1,021 million, while last year it bought $ 1191 million. Diesel (-92.7%).
