Advanced electronic warfare for the Moroccan F-16 Viper
L3Harris Technologies has completed a Critical Design Review (CDR) for electronic warfare (electronic warfare Or EW) Viper Shield, which will provide enhanced offensive and defensive capabilities for fighter jets F-16 Block 70/72 For Foreign Military Sales (FMS), which will positively affect the fleet of those fighters In the Moroccan Air Force.
Complete the AN/ALQ-254(V)1 Viper Shield CDR with Lockheed Martin And the United States Air Force can now be exported to six countries, incl Morocco. The first F-16 Block 72 Viper fighters for the Moroccan Air Force are expected to leave the factory in 2024. Delivery will begin in early 2025.

In partnership with Lockheed Martin and the US Air Force, the L3Harris developed the AN/ALQ-254(V)1 to provide America’s allies with advanced countermeasures to counter ever-evolving threats.
This advanced electronic warfare system will provide a virtual electronic shield around the aircraft, allowing combat aircraft to safely accomplish missions in increasingly complex combat scenarios. Its state-of-the-art digital technology helps improve system performance, reduce system footprint, reduce weight, and facilitate future upgrades.
