Airbus OneWeb sign satellite communications agreement

Airbus Defense and Space LLC OneWebA satellite communications company signed an agreement for Providing satellite communication services In Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for military and government use in Europe and the United Kingdom.

With these new satellite services, the armed forces will have access to High-speed connections, allowing them to prioritize communication flows and ensure high levels of availabilityAirbus explained. This agreement will help connect vehicles on land and warships at sea and Airplanes in flight.

The satellites that will be used to provide this connection are now being used Currently produced at Airbus OneWeb satellite facilities in Florida, USA. This service is expected to be available globally by the end of 2022, with a Constellation of 648 satellites in orbit around low Earth orbit.
