President Castillo’s trip to North America will boost the revitalization of the economy | News
Oscar Vedarte International emphasized that the trip of the President of the Republic to Mexico and the United States will allow direct diplomacy with financial organizations and businessmen in North America in order to promote the economic revitalization of our country.
Talking to Andes Agency, He stated that this first trip by the President is important because it will be presented to the international community and will also present the priorities of Peru’s foreign policy.
“The president will meet with the authorities and people from financial organizations and at the business level, especially in the United States; and I think that if one of the priorities is to revitalize the economy, direct diplomacy is important, and the head of state himself is going to get these contacts.”
Vedarti noted that these contacts, which can be considered the first level, will allow to support the revitalization of the economy, taking into account the post-Covid-19 pandemic situation.
In this sense, he stressed that Castillo will be present at the 6th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), ahead of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the High-level General Debate of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
“I think that during the five days that he will remain abroad, the president will be able to have contacts with other heads of state, for example, in CILAC, at the United Nations, as well as multiple contacts with representatives of first-class international organizations that are very important for Peru.”
He noted that all of these spaces are important to having a “very active” presidential diplomacy, allowing us to make contacts that can bear fruit tomorrow for our country’s interests.
Al-Dawli added that this trip will also be essential so that, amid many questions, he can build a legitimate base at the national level.
