The 27 United States Chambers of Commerce in Europe (AmChams in Europe) have called on this Friday to take advantage of the EU-US summit, which will take place in Brussels on 15 June, to promote an ambitious new transatlantic agenda. It strengthens commercial ties, promotes economic recovery and seeks new areas of cooperation and joint leadership to meet common challenges on a global scale.

Through a joint statement, Chambers indicated that the leadership of the United States and Europe in the international order has become “more uncertain” in recent times, as the geopolitical context has changed.

For this reason, they believe that the EU-US summit in Brussels on 15 June is a “fundamental milestone”, as it represents an opportunity, as strategic partners, to build a “positive and proactive” programme. .

“The EU and the United States can ensure that transatlantic relations continue to set the pace for prosperity, stability, well-being and global leadership,” he assured.

Thus, as a business community, they pursue a triple agenda from the European Union and the United States by lowering barriers to trade, ensuring economic recovery, and transitioning to a future more focused on stability and sustainability. to take advantage of the summit. .
