FMC Releases Seamac® Rhizo Biostimulator: The Science In The Roots, The Stress Resistance Power Of The Plant
FMC Agricultural Solutions, the global leader in crop protection, continues to work to provide solutions to current problems in the field. FMC Agricultural Solutions is committed to improving nutrition, fertilization and hydration of crops, from a sustainable approach, and to providing innovative solutions based on new technologies. Within this framework, Seamac launches® Rhizo, a new solution of natural origin that has a biostimulating effect on the root system, increasing the ability of the plant to absorb water and nutrients, allowing it to redirect metabolic energy to improve production and harvest quality.
Seamac crafting® Rhizo is based on a blend of Ascophyllum nodosum with botanical extracts, amino acids and premium quality nutrients, designed and produced by FMC Agricultural Solutions. It acts as a booster for the root system, focusing on the production of absorbent hairs and secondary rootstocks, allowing for strong and continuous growth in the initial stages of the crop. In addition, it works by improving crop quality, achieving faster crop establishment in the field and its quick recovery in situations of abiotic stress or high demand in full production, as well as favoring the absorption of nutrients from the soil.
Simac® Rhizo has been tested extensively by the FMC Chair in Agricultural Sciences, within the research line “Biostimulation Strategies for the Challenges of Agriculture today”. Specifically, the effect of Seamac was evaluated® Rhizo against severe abiotic stress, managing to maintain optimum crop yields, even under conditions of restricted water and nutrients.
The results of these investigations will be presented at a specific conference on June 8 at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena. After that, a webinar will be organized on June 10 at 4:00 PM for you to introduce Seamac® Rhizo online for all interested.
Let us remember that the FMC Chair for Agricultural Sciences was established in 2015, and renewed on July 10, 2020, with the aim of promoting comprehensive and sustainable solutions to agriculture. Among the activities included in the said agreement between FMC and UPTC are research, training and technical dissemination in the field of crop development.
