BACOLOD City – A total of 21 suspects was arrested within this week by the Bacolod City Police Office in its campaign against illegal drugs in the city.
This, after three more suspects were arrested by BCPO operatives around 4pm yesterday.
S/Supt. Ricardo Dela Paz said the BCPO campaign against illegal drugs will continue without letup after the arrest last week of a DepEd official and eight others in a suspected illegal drugs hub in Barangay Banago here.
The three personalities arrested yesterday by the BCPO operatives led by Supt. Santiago Rapiz, deputy for operations, were identified as Rodrigo Adorio Lesardo, 25, of Purol San Roque, Cheryl Delfin, 27, single, and Roberto Parcon, 29, of Barangay Handumanan.
Recovered from the suspects were three small plastic sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and two hundred pesos marked money.
Dela Paz said the arrest of DepEd’s Joshua Santillana proves that illegal drugs remains a big problem. Aside from illegal drugs charges, Santillana was also accused of child molestation what with the claims of two minors that they were induced by the suspect to use illegal drugs in exchange of sexual favors.
