‘Ilonggo Initiative’ book launch in photos

The launching of the coffee table book “Ilonggo Initiative: The Changing Face of Business in Iloilo” at Hotel del Rio’s Golden Salakot Friday gathered business and political leaders as they marked the 20th anniversary of the Iloilo Business Club.

The book looks back to Iloilo’s past economic glory and its present feats in investments and industries.

IN THE aftermath of the fatal shooting of a 65-year old Taiwanese fisherman allegedly poaching in Philippine waters with his boat crew, our overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Taiwan have borne the brunt of the backlash. Matter of flowers

This month is considered in the Philippines as the month of flowers. We do have Flores de Mayo which I partly wrote about last Monday in relation to the annual tradition of the Santacruzan.

I was struck by a quotation from Kuszuko Ukahora which was cited in the main frame during the photo exhibits by the Digital Photography and Imaging Society which opened at Robinson’s Place last Monday as well. Read more...
