ROXAS City – The government has earned P227.16 million in taxes in Capiz in four months' time.
Records from the Revenue District Office 72 disclosed that from January to April this year collection is higher by more than P47.54 million or 26.47 percent bigger than the same period last year, which was P179.61 million.
For April this year alone, the revenue collection was noted at more than P70.50 million, which is higher by more than P2.76 million or 4.08 percent than its target for the month.
The collection for the April 2012 was likewise higher by P13.08 million or 22.79 percent than 2011.
Capiz BIR’s revenue goal for April was set at P67.744 million, Revenue District Officer Gil Tabanda said, adding that the highest collection for the month was on income taxes, followed by the value added taxes, other percentage taxes, other taxes and excise taxes.
Tabanda revealed that for this year, BIR-Capiz targets to collect P681.394 million.
Tabanda urges Capiceños to pay the exact taxes and ask for official receipts for every purchase of goods and rendered service.
