At least two flights were canceled while seven flights were diverted from Metro Manila Wednesday as heavy rains hit the National Capital Region.
The Ninoy Aquino International Airport said two flights of flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) to and from China were canceled due to bad weather.
"PR336 and PR337 [Manila to Pudong and Pudong to Manila] canceled due to bad weather in China," the NAIA said on its Twitter account Wednesday afternoon.
In an advisory on its Twitter account, PAL said all its flights are operating normally "except for PR336/337 (Pudong) due to proximity of [Haikui] to Shanghai."
Earlier Wednesday, tropical storm Haikui made landfall in China.
