Filipino king of comedy Rodolfo "Dolphy" Quizon's vital signs are improving, his son Eric Quizon told reporters at the Makati Medical Center Sunday afternoon.

In a report on "News TV Live," Eric also said his dad's heart rate is better compared to a day ago.

Also, Eric said Dolphy's pneumonia is subsiding, citing a report from doctors.

But he clarified that his father is still in critical condition, and that his family has decided to continue Dolphy's dialysis until he is able to endure the process.

"My dad's creatinine level [measure of chemical waste in the blood] is down to 1.17 mg/dL, which is normal," he said, adding that Dolpy's surgery last night was "successful that is why they decided to continue with the dialysis. — Mac Macapendeg /LBG, GMA News
